Colet Vatua! Extra Brut Rose, Penedes, Spain

This is the pink Vatua, here's what we said about the Vatua Extra Brut last year: "A single vintage blend of aromatic grape varieties, aged for a couple of years Champagne-style. One of the driest sparkling wines we sell - aromatic on the nose with delicate floral and fresh lemon notes, with a depth of flavour and texture in the mouth from time on its lees, notes of apple and apricot and a deliciously dry, fresh finish. Perfect as an aperitif."
 
The winemaker was experimenting after a long lunch and decided to drop a splash of Garnacha red wine into his glass of fizz. It tasted great and - hey presto - the Vatua Rose was born!
