For those occasions when two hours isn’t long enough for lunch, you'll need at least four to fully enjoy this selection. This is based on last year's Christmas Day case, where we matched wines to each part of the day. Gallimard Champagne, a Blanc de Noirs (100% Pinot Noir), a rich, slightly blush Champagne that everyone always enjoys. Sancerre, at its most mineral and intense, from Domaine Balland, to match with the starters, Girardin's "Terroir Noble", white Burgundy to segway into the main course. Domaine Raquillet's stunning red Burgundy, followed by the classic Medoc from Chateau Noaillac. Finished off with the Maury, France's answer to Port, which is equally well-suited to Christmas Pudding as it is to a cheeseboard.
