This year we start with Highams Park's flagship Champagne Gallimard Blancs de Noirs (100% Pinot Noir). To go with the starters it's Domaine Balland's stunning Sancerre, one of the finest examples in the region. This year's "richer white" is one of our newer finds, small production Burgundy from Thierry Drouin - Burgundy has been notoriously difficult to find over the last few years, so this has been an extra special find for us. The Domaine de L'Iris Cru Beaujolais has gained a bit of a cult following among customers and staff, so we're pleased to have been able to secure this elegant yet serious Gamay while it lasts. For the fuller-bodied red we've moved to Rioja Alavesa, with grapes sourced from tiny Parcels ("Parcelas") and aged in older oak barrels to give a savoury, complex, food-friendly style that really leaves an impression. Finally we've brought back the Barros 10 Year Old Tawny as a Port for all occasions, which will last a lot longer once opened, if you can keep it that long!
