Quinta Milu "La Cometa", Ribera Del Duero, Spain

Meeting young winemaker German Blanco you can't help but feel he imparts some of his energy into the beautiful Milu wines (named after his young son). The La Cometa("Kite"), is from very high altitude vines near the village of La Aguilera. The wine is aged for 11 months in various different oak casks (whatever he can get hold of!) and is unfiltred, unfined and very little intervention of any sort. A brand new wine to our list, first opened at our Spanish tasting last Wednesday.
